Oyiti Cup

The Oyiti Cup is more than just a sporting event—it is a celebration of unity, culture, and youth empowerment. Held annually, it brings together more than 3,500 young people, families, and community members in April. This event honors Oyiti and other young people whose lives were tragically lost to suicide.

The Oyiti Cup features a range of activities, including:

  • Basketball and Soccer Tournaments:These friendly competitions encourage physical activity, teamwork, and camaraderie among young people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Music and Cultural Performances:Showcasing the richness of African heritage, these performances provide a platform for artists to share their talents and inspire pride in cultural identity.
  • Community Stalls:Local vendors offer food, crafts, and services, creating a vibrant marketplace that brings the community together.

The Oyiti Cup is not only a tribute to lives lost but also a powerful platform to inspire young people to stay active, connect with their roots, and build lasting friendships. It exemplifies the Oyiti Foundation’s commitment to fostering resilience and unity through meaningful engagement.
